Fabrice is coming Home!!

 So Today is the Gotcha Day for Fabrice, we had been on the phone everyday since January 30 2010 trying to figure out what we needed to do.we decide we would stay in Florida until they could get fabrice Home. Nerlange and yonelson where getting a little bored of the Hotel room so we decided to take them to the beach since I am sure they never saw it or went to it when they where in Haiti. Dave got the call from Chareyl saying Fabrice was coming Home and he was on the plane!! What a great moment,we hurried and packed the kids up from the beach and headed to His House so we would be there when Fabrice got there and we pretty much told them we where Taking Fabrice Home that Night. He did not need to sleep at His House we already had his paper work done!
What a great day we where all finally together and we could Now head Home to Utah and be a complete family!

 Today last year was one of the most emotional day we woke up to yep the plane was still in Haiti and the pilot was not moving and Steven studarrd was going to get signatures hopefully. we where glued to the Internet just waiting for word,then we heard they where coming home but to where was  the next question? but before that we where so happy jumping up and down then the phone rang and we got word that Fabrice was not on the plane,"WHAT?" WHY?, Because somewhere some one lost his paper work and it did not get signed. so we had to hurry book flights to Miami
and dave was on the phone trying to figure out what we needed to do next,yes even at 1:00am we where catching our conacting flight and dave was on the phone with USCIS.
we where so happy to hug fabrice on Feb 2 when he made it to Miami.
Today i was watching you at JR.Jazz and you are just one athletic kid you can do anything once you put your mind to it. You make everyone smile there is just something about you!! I am also so Happy that you have made friends That are just like you they are sweet and love to play Sports. you have grown so much. I am so thankful that Heavenly father brought you to our family.

lesson's you learn

Last night Fabrice had a futsual game and they where playing against a team that they are pretty competive against. They played a great game but in the end they lost 3-2 some of the kids on our team where upset and very disapointed. But this got me thinking that every time Fabrice's team has lost(which is very little) Fabrice has never once been upset,mad,or even disapointed. He is always smiling and just seems content with life. One of the dads last night said when he sees fabrice he thinks how fabrice must think this is the greatest place. I am pretty sure that fabrice loves america and I believe he has seen so much in his little life that he know's there are bigger things to be upset with.
 Sometimes we need to  realize that sometimes life does not go the way we plan on it or sometimes we do not get what we want when we want it, and yes sometimes we lose what we think we should have one. But there are way bigger things to be worried about. Fabrice has taught us so much in just his short time here!

Year round

So Even though it is barely 20 degrees outside we are still doing lot's of sports. Fabrice is doing Jr.Jazz and Indoor Futsal. he is one competitive boy who loves sports. He has enjoyed making friends with his soccer team and the boys on his Jr.Jazz team he is very confident in Himself which I just love.  I remember thinking how fun it will be when he could be on the eagle Mountain Recreation soccer team but I believe he would not have been as Happy as he is with his Competition teams. He loves to win!! Last night as we where watching his team, I was thinking how strange life is because this time last year we where so worried and watching everything about the earthquake and now here we are cheering Fabrice on!! WOW

I think he can do Anything!!

Fabrice in Haiti in October 2009

We first met and had fabrice in our family when we traveled to Haiti in October 2009, we all ways had a conecction to him that me and dave could not eplain we just thought he was such an amazing young man that you could tell there was something special about him. In August we recieved a email from our adoption cordinator saying that the family that was adopting fabrice would no longer be adopting him, we had become a very close knit parent group that traveled toogether to Haiti to vist our kids so our adoption agengy was letting us know so when we traveled and did not see Fabrice we would know why. When we read this it just broke our heart because here this young man who probably dreamed about what his life was going to be like now again did not have a family. we thought of who could adopt him but then it came to both of us "HEY HE IS MEANT TO COME HOME TO US!" that is why we had such a connection with him. so we started the process. Fabrice is such a great young man he is all ways looking out for Dave parents it is the sweetest thing. He is so Happy that he has such a big family and extended family he can do I believe any kind of sport that he wants to. He is not afraid to try anything he has such great confidence in Himself. He is one sweet and very spiritual young man he all ways reminds people to go to church! Wow we just love him and we are so glad that we where able to add him to our family. we love you Fabrice you make us so proud!!

He has waited so long

On November 7th Fabrice had his Baptism Day he has waited so long,we had to wait until we had official adopted them then he had the Missionary lessons.  He was so excited to become a member of the LDS church. He counts down to every sunday and he makes sure everyone goes to church,Even when we are not around he tells his grandpa that they need to go to church. He is one special Kid. His Baptism day was so nice they let him be Baptized on a Sunday and he had so much support from Family and friends and from his friends that are from Haiti That will Hopefully remain like Family. We have so much support from our great Ward and Bishopric. I hope it will be day that fabrice remembers.

He loved his birthday

Fabrice turned  9 on November 17,I believe he started counting down the days to his birthday3 weeks before everyday he asked me how long. we had asked him what he wanted for his birthday. He told us first he wanted a scooter,then I think he started thinking about ti more then he remember that when we went to Haiti in October that Kolbie and Kaleb had borrowed Payton's PSP so they had something to do on the long flights. well after a few days fabrice asked if he could play with it and he just loved it. On the last morning when we where getting them ready to go back to the orphanage Fabrice asked if he could take Dave's deodorant and the combs and his toothpaste and tooth brushes then he asked about the PSP and at first we said no but then he said I promise I will take care of it,we knew what would happen to it once he went back with it. but We could not say no. so then started telling everyone he wanted the little game he played in Haiti,so Daves family got together and bought him one,when he say it he got the biggest smile. He loved his birthday and all of his present's !! He really loved the Sprite and spicy chicken. Fabrice is very excited this week he has started taking The missionary lesson's so he can get baptized. We feel so blessed to have him in our life,I know how Fabrice came to us was meant to be. We love you so much fabrice.

He Can Do Anything

So a few weeks ago Dave's Family had a family reunion. Dave's Uncle Bub's has a farm so our kids were able to learn all about Horses. Surprisingly we found out that Fabrice is a natural on a horse. The very first time out this young man told him a few things to do, Then fabrice wanted to try to ride it all by himself and he just rode the Horse like he had been doing it all of his life.

 Nerlange and Yonelson looked like they had just learned but they where so darn cute.

Time for kids to go to school

The last few weeks have been Busy,We have had lot's of soccer practice and Football practice,plus during all of this Kaleb had some Blood thinning problems so we had to squeeze in docotrs appointment. August 25 the older kids went back to school,Fabrice did not like that he had to start at the new school they built for our neighborhood. But he is getting more use to it. well except this school does not have a PE program and last year he had PE everyday.
Nerlange and Yonelson started Kindergarten on September 1 we have them in different classes.
It is so fun to hear how there day went Hopefully they will stay excited about school.
I have also found out That I believe all of Eagle Mountain knows Fabrice. He is quite the popular  little boy and he tells me that all the little girls run over to him to talk to him at school.  We are working Hard on his English but he still unsure about it,so if any one can give me some tips that would be great.

A Day of Fishing

So I know it is not quite warm weather to go out on a lake to fish,But on Saturday we did.
Fabrice was so excited to see if he could catch a fish.
Yonelson was excited to be on a Boat.
Nerlande was excited for both.
But it was way to cold to catch anything so the kids had to settle for fish from the store but they still ate everybit of the fish even the eyes.
I love to see are older kids helping the little ones learn about everything and to be there for them.

Almost a Month since they came home

On March 3 it will have been a month since the kids came home,and they feell like they have just always been part of the family.
Fabrice started school last Monday and he loves it,the teacher says he is doing very well he really like's math  and to play Basketball at recess.
The next big thing Fabrice has done is to learn how to ride a bike with out Training wheels.
This last weekend we took the kids to the zoo and they real loved watching the Animals.
It is still sometimes so shocking to think that they are here for good!
Are older kids are doing great and having fun with there little Brothers and Sister.
What a month!

It's a miracle

On Thursday Night we had a return Missonary come over to do some translatting for us.
The look on Yonelson faces was so funny when the guy started Talking to Fabrice. Then Fabrice Became very worried We asked him what was wrong and he told us he wanted to stay at our house He thought he had to leave because the guy spoke Kreyol.
He asked Nerlande what she thought of the snow and she said It is A Miracle.
Yonelson told the guys he was 6. Which we just can not see how he is.
Fabrice told him he was 11 Which is also a ?
And nerlande said she was 5 which we knew.
But through all of this these sweet kids remind us that simple things like snow are a miracle.
We love them so much!

What a day Feb 2 Was

We wake up tuesday Hoping we would hear good news about Fabrice and we wanted to take Nerlande and Yonelson to the Beach so they could see the Ocean. Dave spent the Morning calling Angie since Monday night she felt pretty good about getting Fabrice on a plane Tuesday. Then he spent time calling chareyl and trying to see how she felt about Fabrice getting  home. then we got the call that he was at the Airport, then a little while latter we got a call that he was giving some press Interview and they had to cart him to the plane. All the while we where watching sweet  Nerlande and Yonelson playing in the sand and staring at the water.
While we where on the road getting back closer to our Hotel we got the call from Chareyl that he was in plane and he was really coming Home.
Poor Nerlande and Yonelson didin't undestand why we where crying.
So we drove to his House and told them that we where waiting here until we got to see Fabrice.
When they pulled up in the van he looked so Tired but also a little worried then the lady sitting next to him tapped him and pointed out the window  then his face just lit up and he could not get the seatbelt off fast enough.
What a day and night I am still pinching myself that they are all home.

Thank you Everyone that helped get Fabrice home!! we owe you guys so much....

What away to wake up too

We have heard that our Great Hope Team as made it too PAP.  after Unloading the plane and getting a sleeping bag from the the great scientologist team that flew them down there. They made it to the church where Harry is a bishop and seen the kids that was there. They say that they look good.
Michelle sent us this great picture that scott took of Fabrice and Brent I am sure all the kids where so Happy to see  these Guys after this Horriblle event.
I can not wait to hug them and to let them know it will be ok.

Our Prayers are being heard

We received this email from Chareyl tonight
Dear Hope families,
I just heard from Harry and although the bulk of the email is still somewhat vague, I do have good news that Avrie and Wyclef are ok.
Harry finally talked to Nadia today and this is his quote “I am so happy to hear from Nadia and to know that most of the kids been safe” he says that he is going to go and get them and bring them to the church so he can take care of them. He said that he has Fabrice and Schnider with him, I don’t know if he has had them with him or if he just got them. But either way we know for sure that they are ok and with Harry. I sent Harry a list of all the kids,
I asked him to please go get them all if possible, and then to give me a check mark by every child and tell me how they are.
I will let you know, I am hoping that he will have them or at least see them all tomorrow.

We are so Happy to hear about Fabrice here we keep thinking how busy he probally is not only takeing care of himself but the kids he was with.

All,
On our last trip on the last night we always had a pizza party, well when it was getting to be time to go back to our room we noticed Fabrice going around and collecting the left overs and the few slices that had not been eaten and then asked Harry if he could take them back to his friends at the orphange. WOW it had never accured to anyone to do that we all ways gave it to the Hotel staff. Fabrice is so thoughtful towards all the kids. we just love him.
Please keep praying for more good news and for the country of Haiti.

Our Thinker

Yonelson is always so deep in thought you can tell he is thinking about what is going on.
Me and Dave felt so bad because we thought to ask someone to talk with Fabrice about becoming part of our Family but we did not think to have someone talk to Yonelson and Nerlange.
Nerlange seemed alright and was not bothered by Fabrice,but We think Yonelson was unsure about Fabrice. Toward the end of our week he seemed to be taking it better.We know Fabrice will look out for him at the O because that last morning he made sure to get all of their tooth brushes and combs and asked where all there clothes where plus Daves deodorant.
We hope you understand Yonelson and we know once you guys are all home you will enjoy having Fabrice here to play and share your life in America with. We love you Yonelson you are such a sweet little boy who has the best smile and we know you will be one amazing young man.

What you can do when you have sickle cell

clark nearly died following a game in Denver two years ago because of a rare blood disorder that is aggravated by playing in high altitude.

Clark had his spleen and gall bladder removed during separate operations and he lost 30 pounds after the Oct. 21, 2007, game in Invesco Field that ended his season. Many of Clark's teammates told him he should skip this game.

Ten-year veteran Tyrone Carter and rookie Ryan Mundy were expected to split snaps in place of Clark.

About 2½ hours before kickoff, Clark went onto the field in a long-sleeve black shirt and baggy black shorts with white tube socks and ran several times from one sideline to the other, walking back each time, resting for a minute and then repeating.

Steelers coach Mike Tomlin told the team's Web site he didn't want to risk Clark's health or burden his teammates and family members with worry.

"I think it was the appropriate thing to do in this situation. I didn't want to be worried about his physical well-being, and I know his teammates would be, plus his wife and family. By not allowing him to play, I think we all can be singularly focused on what we came to Denver to do, which is win a football game," Tomlin told Steelers.com.

Tomlin said Clark took the news well.

"He's fine. Ryan is a professional. He's a team guy, and I think he respected the decision," Tomlin told the Web site.

This is the same disorder that Fabrice Has and as you can see with the proper steps he will be fine and able to do many Activities!

One afternoon while we where waiting for lunch Fabrice took the Camera and started telling the kids to sit down and he would take Photos of them they turned out pretty cute.
He is so smart he could figure any thing out all you had to do was show him once.
We can not wait to go back to see these sweet kiddo's

I will always love you

So this last weekend was a hard one I was really miss these sweet faces. I think it had to do with Halloween,going to a Baby shower and still trying to get back to norm putting the kids stuff away until our next trip.


but I will never stop loving them and will keep praying and wishing that Haiti can get the process figured out.

Then here is our Handsome young man we had so much fun getting to know him. He is so smart and sweet he loved talking on Dave's phone to all of Dave's family at home. he would just call them even when we didn't know but Dave's family loved hearing this little voice saying "Hello this is Fabrice,How are you? I am fine."

so we love you guys and we will see you in just a few months!
