YARD SALE TIME!

Well Its getting to be that time of the year where people are out looking for Yard sales. so that's why I asked a radio station that has a yearly yard sale if I could get a few spots to help raise some money for our little Orphanage. They gave me three spots so I am excited they had 4,000 people turn out to buy last year and they expect more.so we should be able to raise some good money hopefully. The date is April 25Th 8:30am-1:30pm at the E center.

Family

With your companion, make it a family objective to all be together in the celestial kingdom. Strive to make your home a little bit of heaven on earth so that after this life is over, you may be able to say:

We are all here!

Father, mother, sister, brother,

All who hold each other dear.

Each chair is filled—

We’re all at home. . . .

We’re all—all here.
I love this saying and I hope we can hold on to our Love of each other.I can not wait until Yonelson and Nerlande are home and we can share all of our Family tradtions and sitting at the dinner table talking about each of our daily things!!

You never know?

I was thinking today how you never know what might happen to your loved ones. When I heard on the news about Natasha Richardson it reminded me of my brother-In laws accident in October the past year. He is a professional bmx rider and he was back east filming when he was doing a jump that he has done hundreds of times but this time he landed wrong and hit his head that put him in a coma for 3 weeks. We are very grateful that he is on his way to recovering and is doing great.I just think that we should always say "I love you" and not hold grudges to those we love because you never know when something might happen to them. life is so precious. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Richardson family because I know some of the feelings they have of shock and disbelief of what has happened in there life. Mike we are very proud of your recovery,Trista your doing a awesome job with handling all that you need to. We love you guys!

Why Haiti?

Well lots of people wonder why we chose Haiti, well me and Dave talked allot about adopting because we have always felt that our family was not complete. so of course I spent time on the computer considering all of the options and looking at the foster care and looking at all the different country's.Then one day I came up on Wasatch Adoptions site and clicked on waiting children list and I said to myself thats my Daughter when I saw Nerlande picture.I showed the picture to Dave and now we are on our way to learning all we can about Haiti and Hoping that time goes real fast so our kids will be home soon. Then everyone wonders how we went from 1 child to 2? well why we where starting the process we would log on to Wasatch site to show our friends and family Nerlands picture and Dave could not get yonelson of his mind so we asked about yonelson and when we learned more we knew he was meant to be part of our family. We know we were meant to adopt from this country and we are glad to help these kids in Haiti and try to remember that we might not be able to solve everything in this country but we can give some of these kids some hope and nourishment. we pray that some day this country will be a peaceful place where kids and adults well not starve to death and fill peace in their life.

Handsome guy

I was sitting here today thinking of our handsome guy Yonelson.I am hoping that he is still doing well and hopefully he has been able to eat some food and gain some weight when we where down in January he weighed 27 pounds which is less then most 2 yrs old. Our oldest boy is going to travel with us on this next trip and he is hoping to be able to spend some time playing with Yonelson and getting to see some of his personality. we need to remember to bring some sunglasses,Aaron let Yonelson wear his and Yonelson did not want to take them off. Thanks Aaron for letting Yonelson weaar them that day. plus we need to remember to buy him a watch one of the kids had one and they had taken it off to swim and Yonelson put it on and then he had a hard time taking it off. well we cant wait to see you and see that you are feeling way better. We love you Yonelson and we pray for you ever day that you are staying healthy. we will see you soon. Love you Mom&Dad

Finally Understand

We want to thank Harrys wife for helping us out. Nerlande kept saying something to me but I couldn't figure it out so she said something to Nerlande and then she said to me "she wants some milk". Nerlande looked so pleased when they brought out some milk for her. so every time we ate she always wanted milk and so did yonelson. It is something I did not think of because I don't think I would dare drink it. but the kids loved it! We where so happy that yonelson drank it up.I am sure his poor little body needed it. the kids loved using there straws differently.but the made it work for them. I will remember in June to order milk.

Talk of a date for our next trip!!

Well we have heard of a possible parent trip dates they say possibly mid june. Its just exciting to hear them talking about it, it means that it is getting closer to start planning. we miss these two sweet kids. You would never think that you can become so attached to them in just a few short days but you do I miss Nerlande standing in the bathroom while i was putting on my makeup and watching me then trying to put the make up on her. plus I loved how she always wanted to leave the room the minute she heard any of the other kids out in the hall. we are keeping Yonelson in our prayers that he is still doing well and that on this next trip he will feel much better.
