 Today while I was waiting for Dinner to cook I walked into the front room and saw the sweetest thing. There on the couch was Yonelson and Charlie cuddling each other, I am so glad that Yonelson has a dog that just loves Him and they can play ball together they also love wrestling each other. Nothing cuter then a Boy and His dog!

Your 2nd Bday

 Today Yoneslon turns 6!! Wow Yonelson has turned into such a great little boy,his sweet personality is such a joy to have around he is such a character he is one very flexible athletic kid and does not understand why his kindergarten teacher will not let him do his cartwheels when ever he wants to in class.
He is not the little boy i was worried about in Haiti, i really thought he would be a shy sad, But Nope we filled him with love and Hope and wow you have turned into a great kid. we love you Yonelson and we could not imagine our family without you. We are so glad to have you Home and teaching you how fun Birthdays can be!!

A very special day

January 30th will be a very special day in our life, This time last year we where tucking Nerlange and yonelson in to Bed in our hotel room in Miami. What a year it has been you guys are growing like crazy,we can not buy clothes fast enough. I look at pictures from last year and wow you have changed so much. Its amazing what good nutrition does for the body. we feel like you have all ways been part of our famiy,and we could not imagine life with out you.
 We love you!!!

He Can Do Anything

So a few weeks ago Dave's Family had a family reunion. Dave's Uncle Bub's has a farm so our kids were able to learn all about Horses. Surprisingly we found out that Fabrice is a natural on a horse. The very first time out this young man told him a few things to do, Then fabrice wanted to try to ride it all by himself and he just rode the Horse like he had been doing it all of his life.

 Nerlange and Yonelson looked like they had just learned but they where so darn cute.

Time for kids to go to school

The last few weeks have been Busy,We have had lot's of soccer practice and Football practice,plus during all of this Kaleb had some Blood thinning problems so we had to squeeze in docotrs appointment. August 25 the older kids went back to school,Fabrice did not like that he had to start at the new school they built for our neighborhood. But he is getting more use to it. well except this school does not have a PE program and last year he had PE everyday.
Nerlange and Yonelson started Kindergarten on September 1 we have them in different classes.
It is so fun to hear how there day went Hopefully they will stay excited about school.
I have also found out That I believe all of Eagle Mountain knows Fabrice. He is quite the popular  little boy and he tells me that all the little girls run over to him to talk to him at school.  We are working Hard on his English but he still unsure about it,so if any one can give me some tips that would be great.

NO no Bunny

So We explained to the kids that the Easter bunny would bring them a Basket in the Morning for Easter. They woke up and looked for their baskets and they loved the movies they got and the bag of Cheetoes. When people asked the kids if the Easter bunny came they said NO no Bunny Mama and Papa, But they still loved the Easter egg hunt's and coloring eggs.

I loved being able to buy their Baskets and loved That we where all Home for Easter.

I truly love the days when  I come into the front room and Nerlande and Yonelson are playing House with the Barbie dolls and when Nerlande loves to fix Yonelson Hair with her Hair clips and Headbands.

Fabrice is loving school and loves to watch Basketball he can not get enough of the March Madness and the Utah jazz.

A Day of Fishing

So I know it is not quite warm weather to go out on a lake to fish,But on Saturday we did.
Fabrice was so excited to see if he could catch a fish.
Yonelson was excited to be on a Boat.
Nerlande was excited for both.
But it was way to cold to catch anything so the kids had to settle for fish from the store but they still ate everybit of the fish even the eyes.
I love to see are older kids helping the little ones learn about everything and to be there for them.

So many New Things

So many new things to do where do we start. Yonelson and Fabrice love there Moto everyday that is the first thing they ask to do Besides eating eggs.
Our Neighbor invited the kids over to see her chickens Baby Lambs and Goats Yonelson and Fabrice loved the animals Nerlande liked them as long as I was holding her.
Then on Sunday we had to vacum our Front room after we had a popcorn party and the kids where so amazed at the vacum that they each had to have a turn.
The other new thing is we had Nerlande's  Hair done and she looks so much older but she loves her hair she has to flip it around. But she will not let me get a picture without making faces.

It is so fun to watch everything be so exciting it makes life so fun to watch it through there eyes.

They Day they came home to there forever family

This time last week we where rushing to the Airport to catch the Red eye so we could get to Miaim to Add these two sweeties to our family. Our heart was half filled with joy to see Nerlande and Yonelson but sad because Fabrice had to stay back in Haitit while we tried to figure out where his file was. Nerlande was her little Shy self that also gave Her Papa the blink and a hit. But don't worry they have become friends.
Dave had to go help His house volunteer try to find Yonelson,but dave said it was so neat to walk into each cottage and see all the kids from the O.
They finally found Yonelson and I don't believe he has stopped smiling he is a totally differnt kid then the one in Haiti. It has been a whirl wind week and we can not believe they are Home for good.

He loves a Beach ball

One thing we can not for get when we go visit are sweet yonelson in Haiti is a beach ball once he finds one he holds on to it and wants to take it where ever he can. We have learned that he is not a big fan of swimming but when the other kids get in there swimsuit he wants to put his on.
Once in awhile he will try to get in the water but he would much rather just kick his beach ball around the pool. Yonelson is such a sweet little guy and he has a real hard time when we have to leave. we cannot wait to get him home so he can kick his beach ball or soccer ball around our big backyard.

Our Thinker

Yonelson is always so deep in thought you can tell he is thinking about what is going on.
Me and Dave felt so bad because we thought to ask someone to talk with Fabrice about becoming part of our Family but we did not think to have someone talk to Yonelson and Nerlange.
Nerlange seemed alright and was not bothered by Fabrice,but We think Yonelson was unsure about Fabrice. Toward the end of our week he seemed to be taking it better.We know Fabrice will look out for him at the O because that last morning he made sure to get all of their tooth brushes and combs and asked where all there clothes where plus Daves deodorant.
We hope you understand Yonelson and we know once you guys are all home you will enjoy having Fabrice here to play and share your life in America with. We love you Yonelson you are such a sweet little boy who has the best smile and we know you will be one amazing young man.

I will always love you

So this last weekend was a hard one I was really miss these sweet faces. I think it had to do with Halloween,going to a Baby shower and still trying to get back to norm putting the kids stuff away until our next trip.


but I will never stop loving them and will keep praying and wishing that Haiti can get the process figured out.

Then here is our Handsome young man we had so much fun getting to know him. He is so smart and sweet he loved talking on Dave's phone to all of Dave's family at home. he would just call them even when we didn't know but Dave's family loved hearing this little voice saying "Hello this is Fabrice,How are you? I am fine."

so we love you guys and we will see you in just a few months!

What cute kids to see in the Email

We recieved these in our email this morning what a great thing to see! They all look Healthy and not to skinny. It's so fun to see there little things you have learned about them just from the few trips. Yonelson all ways wants his shirt nicely buttoned up, and sweet but mischief Nerlande with her Smiles but yet you can tell she will be a handful (we will love it) and Fabrice he all ways looks very Handsome We can not wait to get to know him better on this upcoming trip.

We have been very busy this last few weeks 2 weeks ago Dave and his little brother where asked to speak at a fireside in Provo. It was a very nice Evening to hear them speak about how trials turn into blessings and what effect Home teaching can have on a family. Then on last Tuesday we where at the Ride BMX Nora cup Award at the House of Blues in Las vegas. (wow life is strange some time) Now we are home getting ready to travel to Haiti to see our sweet kids in just 3 weeks. We are busy making sure we have all the goodies the kids need and Donations for the O.

We love you guys and can not wait to see you guys in a few weeks.....

August up-dates

Nerlande is doing well and seems healthy,they say she plays with Yonelson.
she looks cute as ever we love the up-dates but they also make you sad because they all ways look a little bit older.
Yonelson is doing great,. His emotional state seems to be improving since January 2009. Yonelson seems to interact with other children at orphanage and at times can be observed smiling.
we can almost see a smile in this picture. We are glad that the up-date picture of the kids we have read about so far are looking very healthy looks like the donations we are taking down seems to be helping .Thank you to all that have donated and help the O!!
I can not wait to go back in October,they say the teacher has been coming every week in July and some of the kids are saying stuff in English.

How fast they learn

Wow It's amazing how the kids would watch or we would show them once and they picked up using the computer to look at pictures or we had them talk to our kids at home and they wanted to call them again. Yonelson loved carrying Dave's phone around and Nerlande wanted to look at the pictures on the Laptop. They are so quick at learning stuff. we hope all the kids are doing well at the O and we keep all of them in our prayers during these hot months. we love you Nerlande and Yonelson.

Can not wait until

I can not wait until Nerlande,and Yonelson come home so we can take them up to our beautiful Mountains and roast some Hot dogs and toast marshmallows and make some smore's. I know they will love the hot dogs because when we are in Haiti having Haitian spaghetti they love to pick out the hot dog pieces and eat them. when we do family things like this I really miss them but then I think how exciting it will be to show them all this stuff when we get them home.
