During our journey we have meet lots of kind and very special people willing to try and help the kind people in Haiti. two of the lady's we first meet when we started our adoption was Chareyl and kathy they are with a group called Haitianroots we have added a link on the side it is a great cause and I would love everyone to take a look and see if you could do anything to help them I have personally seen the kids that have just recently signed up to be part of the program and they truly just want the opportunity to learn and have a chance at life. so please take a look me and Dave have signed up to donate to help 12 kids every year.
I can not imagine wondering if your kids would even be able to go to school to just learn. Here we worry if they will have the best things for school. Sometimes we Americans are so selfish.
we need to remember what really counts in life.

Not on the first try
We found out tonight that they had to reschedule our birth parents interviews for another time I am sure it was hard because they did have several birth parents to get there so they will let us know when they find out more information, so that is all we have heard so far.
So now that we are heading into a new month I am hoping to see a update or hear that they are still doing alright with the donations we took down in June and they are staying somewhat cool.
we love you guys and hope you are doing good.

Lets start the season
We officially start football season for our son Kaleb. He would play football all year round if he could. we where going to have this season off but he just could not do it. he has had some bone growth that make his legs turn to much in and it does cause him pain when he runs and walks to much last year we spent Thanksgiving up at primary children's Hospital and we are scheduled for the same this year, but he is a tough boy and we love to watch him play football. so here we go for a lot of practice and games I hope it doesn't get real cold until the season is over.
But I also look at it that it will keep me busy while we wait for any news on the Adoption and waiting to travel to Haiti again to see them. Today is a waiting to hear day Yonelson and Nerlande Birth parents Interview with Ibeser so the both can be declared Orphans.
so hopefully we will hear something soon.

How fast they learn
Wow It's amazing how the kids would watch or we would show them once and they picked up using the computer to look at pictures or we had them talk to our kids at home and they wanted to call them again. Yonelson loved carrying Dave's phone around and Nerlande wanted to look at the pictures on the Laptop. They are so quick at learning stuff. we hope all the kids are doing well at the O and we keep all of them in our prayers during these hot months. we love you Nerlande and Yonelson.

Can not wait until
I can not wait until Nerlande, and Yonelson come home so we can take them up to our beautiful Mountains and roast some Hot dogs and toast marshmallows and make some smore's. I know they will love the hot dogs because when we are in Haiti having Haitian spaghetti they love to pick out the hot dog pieces and eat them. when we do family things like this I really miss them but then I think how exciting it will be to show them all this stuff when we get them home.

Little things to remember
1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good. 2. When in doubt, just take the next small step. 3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone… 4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch. 5. Pay off your credit cards every month. 6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree. 7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone. 8. It’s OK to get angry with God. He can take it. 9. Save for retirement starting with your first pay cheque. 10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile. 11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present. 12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry. 13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about. 14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it. 15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks. 16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind. 17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful. 18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger. 19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else. 20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer. 21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets,. Don’t save it for a special occasion, Today is special. 22. Over prepare, then go with the flow. 23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple. 24. The most important sex organ is the brain. 25. No one is in charge of your happiness but you. 26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ‘In five years, will this matter?’ 27. Always choose life. 28. Forgive everyone everything. 29. What other people think of you is none of your business. 30. Time heals almost everything. Give time. 31. However good or bad a situation is, it will change. 32. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does. 33. Believe in miracles. 34. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do. 35. Don’t audit life. Show up and make the most of it now. 36. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young. 37. Your children get only one childhood. 38. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved. 39. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere. 40. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back. 41. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need. 42. The best is yet to come. 43. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up. 44. Yield. 45. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.”

Hoping you guys are staying somewhat cool
We hope all the kids are staying somewhat cool with the box fans. right now the next few months are really hard on the kids with the extreme heat we where able to take some box fans and the right parts for the water filters. we hope the solar panels are working and moving the box fans so the air can at least move around. well this is one of the rooms full of beds but the kids really sleep on the floors since it is so much cooler. we love you Nerlande and Yonelson and hope you are still healthy and doing good, see you in a few months and take care of each other. Love mom and Dad and Family

Warning a gross thing
so poor kolbie is still dealing with Haiti aftermath we have been to the Doctors more then I can count Kolbie has had to get over his fear of needles each and ever appt. they take blood and he has been tested twice for Malaria, and every infection you can think of so has Dave. but it looks like Kolbie got the worst of it. but we are thankful for the fact that we can get him the antibiotics that he needs. kolbie sleeps for hours on ends and wakes up so he can soak his foot in Epsom salt and then go back to bed. but if you ask him if he will ever go back to Haiti he says "sure I had fun and I am going back" . so It looks like Haiti has another cheering fan hoping the country will dig its way out some day. So Kolbies and Dave diagnose from the Doctor is
Dengue fever looks like the CDC has confirmed a outbreak in the Caribbean and sub-tropical areas.
We hope everyone is feeling better and hope all the little ones are getting better or staying better.

Happy 4TH of July
I have a new appreciation for the 4th of July. This year after our trip to Haiti me and Dave cry when we hear the national anthem, I will never take food, water or being able to know that if me or anyone in my family get sick they can just go to their doctor and get taken care of by a great doctor that cares and has all the correct supplies. so Wow thank you clark for being such a brave and wonderful man and serve for our country so we can have all these great opportunity in this truly great land! I can not wait to have these kids home and to have so many great opportunity that come with our great land. I hope everyone has a safe and fun 4th of July

Great little buddies
I was all ways worried what if Nerlande and Yonelson did not get along. On the trip in January it was hard to tell since Yonelson was sick. Well they got along great they where all ways sharing stuff like Imodium you know that is a sharable thing(lOl), they loved to play cars and yes Yonelson played dolls with Nerlande even though he taught her to throw the doll down like a little boy would. but the best thing was when they would sing together. so now I don't worry I think they will be great Brother and Sister plus great friends.
